"Our room wasn’t very clean and I noticed stains on towels as well as the pillows. They charge you 250 as soon as you arrive for a cleaning service fee for those that smoke or vape in rooms.. very annoying. Have to add up the parking fee yourself because it is not added when you book on Expedia which is 15 per day.. also annoying. So in the end you will be charged more than you expected for the stay. Room does not include a blow dryer so be sure to bring one. Everything else about the resort was pretty nice."

"The hotel seemed to be struggling (no towels in room, no water or antiseptic wipes in workout room, A/C didn’t work well, loud construction in the room next door, room had a slightly strange smell, etc.), but it was a good value for a one night stay. I would not stay there longer, but appreciated the savings over other options for a one night stay."

"Excellent place to stay. Close to the beach, short drive to restaurants and plant other beaches. Food is great, but they should offer bacon every day . The hotel is not the newest, but is Great. Plus is pet friendly , good bad the beach is not pet friendly. Still we have a great time."

"We loved Hotel Effie and won’t stay anywhere else now. Our trip to Florida began at the Island Resort which was a huge letdown. It was dirty and extremely rundown. We were not comfortable staying there so after some research I came across Hotel Effie and booked it right away. Immediately upon pulling up to the hotel, we could tell it was clean and well maintained. They have valet service and the lobby is stunning. The check in was smooth and easy. Our room was clean and the overall feel of the space and hotel in general is luxurious. The view was beautiful with golf course and bay in sight. Food from the full restaurant was a letdown but they have different options on the rooftop pool/bar. We truly enjoyed our stay and will return. The only area of improvement would be the food flavor and quality."

"At first my daughter and I were ready to leave regardless of what the penalties were going to be. The room is a bit dated, smelled funny, felt muggy, and the blinds had to be forced down, BUT, we decided to stay a night and if we still felt that way the next day, we would find somewhere else to go. We went to the beach which was just across some stairs, a super quick walk, and it was beautiful. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent and food/bar nearby. The bed was very comfortable and had good pillows. The TV does not have APPS on them like Netflix or anything and when we tried to set it up to be able to cast, it locked us out and maintenance had to come reset it. Oops. But because of the beach and comfortability of the bed, we did end up staying another night. It did seem to be the best bang for your buck on a tight budget and still be ON the beach. Overall, will stay again."
