Some people in reviews have complained about road noise - they should be realistic about their expectations. It’s an old property right next to a road. If you are someone that’s sensitive to road noise”
“Easy to get to and with good links to the various parts of Bedfordshire, it was an ideal property for my stay given it's proximity to the location I needed to visit the following morning. The room had all that I needed for my stay including complimentary shower gels, water, tea & coffee offerings and the breakfast menu was varied enough that I had a good choice to choose from.”

From the thoughtful details to luxurious surroundings loved the self controlled heated towel rail in the bathroom and the gorgeous free fluffy dressing gown to wear everywhere and stylish tote and matching flip flops! Food scrumptious too which was added surprise! ”

“We really enjoyed our overnight stay at West Lodge. We had a tranquil garden room so there was no outside noise at all. We also enjoyed being one of two couples in the dining room. Upon ringing the bell the owner arrived promptly and took our orders for cooked breakfast. It soon arrived and was of excellent quality. We will definitely book again if we are in the locality.”
“The staff were amazing anything wasn’t any problem, the room was spotless but at times especially in the evening the rooms aren’t insulated, could here there tv and talking using the toilet and wardrobe to the early hours on our second night.. the shower was a good size, the breakfast choice was brilliant couldn’t fault that at all will go there again ”
“I came in June 2025 and came back in August 2025 and was just as pleased as the first stay. Perfect location, very clean rooms,,the staff is perfect informative and always helpful. My room was perfect with a perfect view. My first stay in June was for 6 nights and this stay in August was for 6 nights. You step out of the hotel directly to your safe boardwalk and it is located next to the town for all you needs and comfort ”
“Very picturesque & welcoming Inn, excellent & friendly service throughout from an early check in to a free drink on arrival, our room was comfortable & clean with breakfast items available in the room, also tea,coffee & hot chocolate.
Dinner was available in the pub dining room,pricey but extremely tasty. We will return.”
