“Had a lovely meal, during our stay, for our daughter's graduation. We also had cocktails which were excellent. The option of air conditioning would be a bonus, but we were provided with a fan and the fact that you can open a window meant that we had a comfortable room temperature. All the staff were lovely, Lesley was particularly helpful. We have stayed here previously and the refurbishments have made it an even better experience.”

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
