Looks like an outside leak inside the walls coming through. I did notice a mold/musty smell from it and had a couple headaches while staying there. Either from the mold or the storm that came through."

"Fantastic hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, the buffet breakfast and dinner have something for everyone. Would recommend not catching the train to Kowakidani, especially if you have luggage. Instead catch it to Chokokunomori station and then the S bus which will drop you off outside the hotel. The H bus from Kowakidani or Hakone has a short but steep uphill walk"

Value for money hotel. Just that some of the Breakfast Buffet food is only labelled in Japanese, thus need enquiry from staff about content and ingredients."
