“Perfect, added tExcellent stay! We stayed one night on Oct 21 (2 rooms, 4 adults) during our layover in Ponta Delgada, and it was a great, convenient choice. The location is central and walkable to the city gates and marina, which made our short morning in town easy. The complimentary continental breakfast was a nice bonus . Staff were friendly and helpful, and they kindly accommodated our late checkout request, which made our afternoon flight to Toronto much less rushed.”

“My sister and I, two 70+ y/o US travelers found The Rock to be a well located, clean, and quiet guest house. Rebeca was easy to contact and very helpful. Staff member Grace was delightful. Breakfast each day was quite good. We would certainly recommend The Rock to others.”

“Terra Nostra is just across the street. Grocery store is very close. Bus stop is close by. Secure check in with codes. Even though there’s no front desk , it’s easy to navigate as long as you come at the scheduled check in , otherwise code won’t work. If you need to use the bathroom before check in there’s football locker rooms around the corner and a restaurant”

“Nice and clean. Traffic was a bit noisy. Would of preferred a room at the back not facing the street.”

“We stayed for few days, we found the room cozy, comfortable bed. We had good enough breakfast in thethe mornings. The ocean is close with good access to both parts of the island. For us negative is the air conditioner. Each time after the cleaning the aircon was set to 17 degrees. It’s way too cold in any situation. Also the aircon probably needs deep cleaning, the room smells like mold when it was on. Also a big pound of condensation water was waiting each time we arrived back the room. The...

“Room was comfortable but that’s the only positive. Arrived for self check-in within the stipulated time, and the room was not cleaned since the last guests. Customer service is difficult to reach and might be a bot (?). Said to leave immediately because the room was double booked. When I said no, they said that actually they’re just confused with another reservation and they will send a cleaner. Had to wait awhile. Overall very stressful and terrible lack of service - I can’t properly explain...

“Al di là delle nostre aspettative. Piscina bellissima. Appartamentino con tutto e molto spazioso. Giardino curato e vista sia sulle colline verdi di sao miguel sia parziale vista mare di capelas. Oasi per riposare dopo una giornata di escursioni. Non è un resort di mare ma un hotel di campagna.”

“A estadia foi boa, quarto muito espaçoso mas pouco conforto devido ao chão frio e não usufruir de cama de casal substituida por camas de solteiro juntas pequeno almoço com pouca escolha mas bom atendimento”

“Great location within the city.no parking on site but street parking near good value”

“Exceptional clean, safe, well maintained property with full amenities and conveniently located with easy access to highway, grocery, etc Highly recommended for your stay in Azores!”

“Perfect villa for a family stay in the eastern part of Sao Miguel. Perfect outpost for: 1) pico do Vara hike; 2) waterfall trail; 3) praia do fogo; 4) activities in Furnas. The swimming pool in the town is not to count on - the water is cold as ice; the beach is as well non existent. There is a little grocery store opened 09-19 in the town, as well as a couple of cafés. The villa itself is much recommended, 98% out of 100%. -1% for hard pillows, and -1% for the absence of garden furniture (table...

“La casa es muy acogedora, bien equipada, limpia y tranquila. La localidad es espectacular. La playa está alado de la casa y despertar con esas vistas no tiene precio. Como negativo destacar que hay cucarachas en los alrededores y la casa debe permanecer cerrada, a nosotras nos entró una. Las almohadas son terribles.”

“Beautiful place to stay!”
