"Everything was top notch except bathroom in the room. The sink didn’t have enough room to hold toiletries. The shower didn’t drain the water and it would puddle. The shower also needs shelves or something to hold shampoos and soap because keeping it on the floor is unhygienic. Also, there’s drop down floor to enter the bathroom and it was annoying and hazardous. Someone can easily fall and break bones. Other than that everything from hotel to food and service was top notch."

"This riad was incredible and perfectly located close to everything with easy access to taxis when you need to go farther out. The true standout is the staff. Every single person was 11 out of 10 friendly attentive and genuinely welcoming. As this was my first time in Morocco I was a bit apprehensive about leaving important items in the riad such as passports and cash. Nothing was ever touched and in fact we accidentally left cash out on the dresser and came back later to find it neatly stacked and untouched. We also left bags at the riad while on a Sahara desert tour and they were secured at no charge in a locked closet. Overall this was an incredible experience. If you are going to Marrakech this is easily one of the best places to stay in the city"

"Riad Karmela was an excellent choice for our Marrakech stay. Right in the centre of the medina so an easy walk to all the main souks and sights. Our room was clean, breakfast was tasty and all the staff were super helpful - would stay here again if we are ever back in Marrakech. "

"Fantastic stay. Wasn't sure what to expect having read previous reviews but arrived late at night to a lovely welcome (desk staffed 24/7). We shared a twin room which was fairly basic but clean, cool and with quiet air conditioning it was all we needed. Shower room clean and water pressure great. We had no hot water at first but as soon as we raised this it got fixed. We asked for a hairdryer and had it for our stay. Front desk couldn't be more helpful. Full breakfast everyday with lovely waiting staff, especially Sophian, who would do anything for you. All staff very kind and helpful. Riad was close to amenities - great location - yet no sense of noise or hassle and bussle, lovely and peaceful. Highly recommend!"

"Finding the property in the dark was a little challenging but once we located it we were delighted in the interior. Unfortunately the surroundings were not great but you have to remember where you are! Vehicles other an motorbikes are unable to take you straight to the riad so you have about a 10 min walk from the nearest road. Our room was lovely, spacious and clean, the bed was really comfortable and the aircon was a welcome bonus. The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. We enjoyed our breakfasts which put us on for the remainder of the day. The property which was located about 2 mins from the small shops and 15 mins walk to the main square. All in all a good budget friendly place to stay when visiting Marrakech."

"We had the best stay at Riad les dunes. Firstly I would advise booking the airport pick up through them (€20) as when you get to the medina it is quite daunting trying to find your way through the streets of Marrakesh (which you can’t drive down) we got picked up no problem and were escorted to the Riad by members of the team. The room was lovely, small (as all Riads would be) but the perfect size for the 2 of us, was cleaned every day and had all the amenities we needed. The Riad itself is beautiful, the roof top is lovely and the food is so so good! It’s in good walking distance to the main square (20 mins) and if you need taxis anywhere or have booked any trips, the entrance to get picked up is a 7 minute walk away. The thing that really makes this Riad the best place to stay is the staff! They could not do enough for us. They told us good recommendations for restaurants, tours, places to visit, and just anything we would ask and more! We only have 2 names (Ayoub & Mustaffa) but any staff member we came across was so kind and made us feel at home for the whole trip."
