“Lovely clean room but no breakfast facilities. I'm not sure if this is temporary or permanent. Staff were polite and helpful, parking was plentiful and safe.”

“Lovely, quiet, hotel in a residential area very close to the River Trent. Ample free parking, although the staff will need a note of your vehicle registration. Our superior king size room was fresh, modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is an in room kettle, tea, coffee etc as well as a coffee machine with pods Although we were only there for one night there was plenty of space in the wardrobe and there were also lots of hangers - which makes a refreshing change....

“Room was musty and needed to use body spray to mask smell. However, the bed was comfortable and room had a fan which helped. iron and ironing board were available. Sheets and towels were clean. Shower was powerful with good temperature: Facilities - Hot tub was out of order and I was not made aware of this when I arrived and said I was going to use the spa. Except from the library and reception area the hotel seemed run down and in dire need of a revamp central courtyard fake grass thread bare...

Our room was a very long walk from the reception, this was difficult to manage with my son who is autistic and has disabilities. If I stayed again I would specify that we needed to be nearer reception. Room was ok, but small fridge in room was very noisy and had to turn it off (it was unplugged when we entered room) and the air con unit in the corner of room also made a lot of noise as the evening went on and my son...

“Lovely spacious room with milk in a fridge and real coffee bags. Comfy bed and super shower. Breakfast was a help yourself to croissant and butter. Would've been good to have had a more healthy option. Such as fruit and/or yogurt in the fridge. Only issue really was the wifi. Couldn't get the TV to work in the morning, and in th3 evening it dropped out a lot. Other than that it was a very comfortable stay. Thank you.”

“We had a fantastic stay at The Barnsdale, such a beautiful, relaxing and picturesque venue. We enjoyed use of the spa, which is beautifully done, small and intimate. Evening meal in the Brasserie was delicious with fabulous service and breakfast was just as delicious, with lots of choice and was well organised. All staff were very polite and helpful, especially the lovely lady on reception. The welcome glass of wine on arrival was such a lovely touch. Only disappointment was that the king...
