Block Island Beach House
10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean and super convenient. The size is small, but it's clearly a historic converted property. I remember reading that the staff didn't text when their room was ready... so even though we didn't get a text - we checked and the kid was like "Oh... yeah, actually it is." The Beach House is the most convenient place to stay. But it's an old building so they were definitely working on some plumbing issues and I would guess they are phasing out the pool since it's costly to maintain. The location is excellent, but it should let you know it's a couple flights of older stairs (we were fine, but older folks struggled). The restaurant there is fantastic and the shop is very chic. It's a beautiful place but it's important to know what you're getting, since you want to make sure you're getting bang for your buck."
Sandy Shore Motel

"Overall stay was great. Room was clean, sun was shining, bar was open and drinks were great. We ordered the black and blue burger which was great as well. Bartenders were extremely nice and were quick to attend to your needs. The room we stayed in however, had an air conditioner that was extremely loud and “kicked” on so loud that continuously woke us up. Upon check out we discussed this with the clerk and her reply was “no one else has complained.” I was not looking for a refund just simply wanted the next persons stay to not be the same. I did not feel heard, I felt dismissed. No apology, no thank you. I love this place I’ve stayed there at least four times, this time however was not as pleasant."

"Loved the bar/restaurant, conveniently located near restaurants, literally booked it for the hot tub because I was there for a race and it was broken, which we didn't find out until after check in and there were a ton of kids there so we couldn't touch the pool..."

"Fabulous location near Misquamicut beach. Loved the private beach parking and bathrooms. The continental breakfast was good. Nice warm tasty muffins. The things to note is this is a true motel. Our room had a large main window facing parking area and pool. The downside to this was we were on the ground level and had to keep shade closed as everyone could see in. Could also clearly hear folks in next room. Very clean and well maintained"

"We love this motel. It has everything we wanted. The staff were so kind and helpful. The location was amazing. The rooms were updated and clean. It was in a peaceful location. We come to this hotel and it is our favorite"
