“This hotel was perfect for what we wanted. It is about a 3-4 min drive to the restaurants in town. Daily breakfast was very good, the spa was marvelous! We went twice for massages, the pool and separate jacuzzi’s were great. ”

I preferred their salt water pool to staying at a different resort which featured thermal pools- then we chose to drive back to eat here once more- so good. Just know in advance that you may not drive to your room; must take a jitney.”

“This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane...
