"We had the best weekend at the Shelburne Sonesta. We were celebrating a big birthday and the staff treated us so well and made it a very special occasion. We will definitely stay here again!!"

"Pros: Amazing location. Door and security staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Shower was hot and powerful. Cons: Reception staff were terrible - we had the unfortunate luck of having to deal with Alex several times and he was disinterested and frankly quite rude. For the price of the hotel, additionally charging $4 an item to store bags after check out is really taking advantage of travellers with no other option. Rooms are ok, tired. No tea/coffee making facilities, not even a water glass in the rooms, we had one plastic cup to share between 3. Overall would expect more from the Hyatt brand."

"The room was clean and comfortable however I stayed on city facing and it’s next to the high way which has constant noise of cars. It goes throughout the day and night. If you’re sensitive to sound and have anxiety, this will not be a good choice especially at night while sleeping. The complementary breakfast was really good. A variety of breakfast foods! Good value for money overall. There is a shuttle to a nearby station to get to manhattan."

"Elevator wasn’t working, guests were NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE STAIRS, dryer in laundry room was not working and staff were unhelpful in resolving the issue so I went to work wearing wet clothes and was late after waiting 20 minutes for the elevator to finally arrive with enough space for me and my family. The rooms were not sound proof at all and several screaming children were running through the halls attempting to open my door and banging on it when they were unable to do so. Staff again were unhelpful in remedying this situation as well. Breakfast was impossible to get to with the amount of people and anything edible was gone within seconds. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I requested a partial refund and was given nothing"

"I have no serious complaints-- but also nothing to praise. The room was clear but the degree of wear and tear (cracks in the sink, missing outlet covers, scuffs on the furniture) amounted to a certain degree of discomfort. Additionally, I was given the run around when I reached out to the hotel to let them know I'd be checking in late, and then 2 different access codes were wrong. The phone number you call for support leads to a helpful-ish but generally disinterested employee. In all fairness they got us in, but it took multiple calls. Nothing to discourage, but nothing to bring me back."
