“The hotel is older, but has some updates. The breakfast room, lobby and pool area were all updated and looked great. We rented a suite and it had updated furniture and was very spacious. But, the bathroom fixtures were not all updated and the toilet/tub area was small. Overall though, it was nice and I would definitely stay there again! ”

“First room was disgusting. The couch was unusable and belongs on the side of the road. Bedside lights didn’t work. Second room was marginally better. The room had an odor. Bath lights and outlets were interconnected and electrically confusing. Will drive 20 miles away to avoid staying here again.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at the Retreat. It’s very conveniently located in the midst of the kings Bay Area in crystal river. There’s some nice really good restaurants within walking distance or a 5 minute drive. The place was super clean and the coffee maker in the breakfast area was first rate (fresh grind and brew for every cup). The only downside was no WiFi in our room (room 6). It was available right outside. We weren’t visiting for the WiFi, as all the outdoor experience and beautiful...

“Owner/Operators are very friendly and attentive to the needs of their guests. The Country Room was cozy with comfortable beds and spacious shower. The only downside, are the interior walls are very thin, with the noise from our next door neighbors TV being very prominent. The yard area was a bit busy (could use some TLC) but that was pointed out to us in their flyer. A bit overpriced, but If you’re looking for peace and quiet, a great view and a nice breakfast in the morning, this is your spot! ”

“The AC ran cold but a little loud as an older model, a little musty smelling. Honestly, it was really clean, the room and the whole property. It was very quiet and very affordable. In the morning, when I saw the number of cars in the parking lot, I was even more impressed because I never heard a soul during the night. All guests and staff were so respectful of other guests.”
