"We enjoyed our three night stay very much, and we're happy that we chose this hotel. The room was a good size and fit our needs. The only complaint was the terrible pillows and fairly hard beds. The restaurant proved to be decent. My Japanese wife loved the breakfast choices and I was happy with some western basics, like great scrambled eggs, reasonable sausages terrific coffee and granola. I would highlight the incredibly friendly and gracious staff, who made me feel very welcome and looked after as a solo traveller, and made the beautiful dining experience even better. I enjoyed walking through the lovely nearby streets and forests - it felt very secluded and tranquil. And there was nothing better than coming back from a big walk to relax into one of the onsen - either public or private, depending on what you preferred. I wish I had more...
