"We stayed at the Birkdale for two nights. Everything from checking in, the room, facilities, the comprehensive information pack were perfect. Everything has been thought of, and it has to be one of the cleanest hotels I have ever used everything was spotless. The breakfast choice was varied, and once again everything had been thought of, and was on the table ready upon arriving in the dining room. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was great. Would highly recommend to anyone....

"As a high end hotel you should experience top rate hotel. Being the start of the season you would expect the hotel to be in prime condition as it’s not cheap. The staff are lovely ask and they will do their best to help. But our room smelt of smoke (put air con on 15 minutes later clear, the room/suite could do with upgrading. But my soppy gripe why have painting done by someone that can’t cut in. It looks cheap and not professional. This is evident in many areas. The front of the hotel needs a...

"It was a lovely place to stay. A Victorian villa which still has many original features, including beautiful stained glass windows. The room was clean and tidy and the hosts were most hospitable. There were some lovely touches, such as complimentary drinks and snacks. It was lovely to sit out on the front veranda with a coffee. The rear garden was well tended and the large swimming pool was fantastic. The only improvements i could suggest are a shower instead of the bath in Room 3 and a washing...
