“Our Cosy Double was as advertised -small but well furnished and equipped with everything you could need. It was very clean. We had a lovely view of the extensive gardens. The breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and freshly prepared and great service too. We also had a meal in the bar and that too was very good. The gardens are delightful and we walked around them many times and it was a real bonus to have several sightings of the deer. A small negative was that we had not realised that...

“Overall it was a good stay. The only issue I had was that you have to pay an overnight car parking fee and this wasn’t disclosed on Expedia. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly too.”

“Poorly maintained and looks a tad unloved. But only seemd one staff member working there and huge place to maintain. Doors left open so anyone can walk in to the areas for patreons only. Bedroom was rundown but we were only stopp”

“The room was very clean with tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided. Not a great selection of teas but fine for us. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean and ironed. Small TV but that didn't bother us as we were out more than in. Good selection at breakfast with cereal, yoghurts, fruit juice. Very good cooked breakfast with several options. Tea and coffee served in your own pots. Staff really friendly.”

“We loved staying at the Royal Oak . Would go again. Wonderful Sunday lunch. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Only thing’s needs to be worked on , Our lovely modern room had nowhere to sit & dry your hair .. Only needs a mirror . No draws to put cloths in , only four coat hangers . No shower gel or shampoo. Just a bit of hand gel at the bottom of a dispenser. Just things you tend to expect. The pub is well situated, locals very friendly. Lots of things to do in the area.”

“We stayed at Salomons Estate as a group of 12 people. The grounds are lovely, and the facilities are well looked after considering the age and character of the property. The staff were really helpful throughout our stay. Everything was clean, and both the bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size. Although the rooms are a little outdated, the bedding was very comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall.”

“Very poor. We paid for a deluxe triple room as it was cheaper than a standard double, when we arrived the gentleman told us we couldn’t have that room as it was under occupied and would have to have another room. The room was poor Avoid this place ”
