“Liked that hotel was a bit quirky. Room was nice overlooked the car park but with countryside views beyond. We had an evening meal in the Bareca restaurant which was very good especially the Dirty Burger, highly recommended”

“Everything about this hotel was perfect. Easy parking, beautiful grounds, lovely clean room with complimentary drinks, fridge, and tea & coffee making facilities. Bath and shower, comfortable beds; lovely, helpful staff. Tasty breakfast, everything you could want, and excellent evening meals. Dogs were allowed, but not in the main house. They didn't really bother us, just a few "yappy" ones. Definitely Five Stars”

“This is a lovely hotel with fitness club, golf course, etc.. We didn't use any of these as we were just passing through. Very nice room and surroundings. One thing could be done to improve the experience - clean the upholstery on the chairs in the breakfasting room.”

The evening meal that we had there was also very good. Nice play area for children. I would add the pub had air conditioning, fantastic in the hot weather enjoying a nice glass of wine. Lots of space in the pub, good layout with different rooms and in my opinion a big bonus plenty of parking. ...

“3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. Breakfast was good but simple so would not have wanted to stay any longer. 1 or 2 nights at the most. No fruit or alternatives and not asked if we preferred eggs cooked...

“When I arrived I was shown to my room by the owner who was very friendly, but as soon as we entered the room she noticed the bathroom was flooded. She explained that one of the staff members had been fiddling with a pressure reducing valve and it must have caused the shower to run with the door open. We were allocated one of very few rooms which required us to go up or down a flight of stairs to reach. As a couple approaching 80 years old this was not ideal.
