The room was clean and comfortable enough. The location is good, and it's a pretty cool old building. As with all Greene King pubs and hotels, the wifi isn't really free since you have to fill out a form divulging a bunch of personal information to use it, which I declined to do.

Solent Hotel and Spa
We recently stayed for 2 nights Friday-Sunday as we were attending a family wedding on Saturday. Checked in to the hotel at 8.50 and had a dinner reservation at 9. Upon going to our room at about 11 we noticed a letter from the hotel on the bed. Apparently their new policy is not to service the room ...
