“The welcome we received at check in was probably the best welcome ever at a hotel. Our room was squeaky clean and we had a gorgeous relaxing view over the golf course. We ate in the onsite restaurant one evening, sensibly priced and great food, again the staff were exceptional. We loved the use of the pool and its other facilities. All in all it was a fabulous stay, we hope to visit again.”

“The property is at a very calm place and has been running since 1650 which is amazing fact. The room I’ve stayed in was a attic converted into a room. The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. I would like to see a bottled water in rooms along with towels as it felt wrong to grab water from sink. The staff...

“Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. ”

“The Mill Hotel is in an excellent position, overlooking the mill pond and adjoining common. There is ample parking nearby and it is just a short walk into the lovely town of Sudbury. There is an attractive restaurant and bar, with feature water wheel, and the food was good. The rooms were well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Due to the historic age of the hotel, there's no lift, which would have caused me problems if my room had been on an upper floor.”

“Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. “Very impressive grounds and gardens”

“I have stayed at The White Horse before so it was a joy to return. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and they remembered me from last year and the year before. The food is superb. I always order rack of ribs, which is a particular favourite of mine and it is always tender. I can thoroughly recommend this establishment. 5 stars all round”
