โ5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. โ
โStone hotel is a lovely property set in the soothing Yorkshire Dales Countryside. The hotel was comfortable, food delicious and staff were friendly and provided first class service. My husband and I had a memorable break there. We will return. โ
โWe loved the pub and Alina really went out of her way to ensure we had a good stay/enjoyed our breakfast. We hope that they are able to get their plumber to fix their shower properly, as it fluctuated dangerously between scalding hot and cold.โ
โMy stay at the Shakespeare was short but will be remembered as a really good experience. I felt like a truly valued customer, everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The room was good and the bed was huge!! It was 2 lovely nights sleep, nice hot shower in the morning followed by a cooked breakfast. It really set me up for the day.
I would most certainly revisit and can recommend it for a good place to stay in Kendal.โ
โI booked my stay at this hotel through Expedia. When I checked in I was told that I hadnโt prepaid through Expedia. Because I was tired after a long day, I paid as requested by the hotel . Through Expedia I requested this double payment to be returned. Over a week later Iโm still waiting.โ
โThe room was immaculate, clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was tip top!

The only drawback is that itโs too far to walk to town but there are plenty of taxis approx ยฃ6..
Unfortunately their restaurant wasnโt open as it was a week day but their recommendation of Bangkok 7 Thai restaurant was spot on and a โMust goโ place to eat- it was superb!โ
โThis property exceeded our expectations! Very spacious lounge and kitchen. The 4 double bedrooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. Massive bonus was that 2 of them had ensuites as well as another bathroom.
The property was immaculate and is clearly looked after well.
The location was very peaceful and remote. Daunting single road to travel from the main road for 2-3 miles however after doing it once it was a lot easier. Minimal traffic.
Will definitely stay again!โ
