“Lovely hotel and staff, pool very nice. Room disappointing. Building works going on throughout the hotel which wasn’t made clear at booking. We were in a ‘family room’ which was essentially a meeting room converted on the ground floor. The only radiator in such a large room was around half a meter from my head when in bed, the chosen location very uncomfortable and I therefore did not sleep well at all. “Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. All staff were extremely accommodating. Breakfast was lovely, quality ingredients and plenty of choice. We particularly enjoyed the touch of the espresso machine and cake stand during our stay. ”

“A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area.
