“It’s the perfect stay to stop just off the M6 when driving from Scotland to England. It’s a beautifully decorated pub, with lovely staff and excellent breakfast and dinner. This time our ferry was cancelled from Mull and so we had to change the booking at the last moment. They were understanding and there was no problem rolling over the booking until we could get off the island. We will be forever loyal to this wonderful stop just south of Penrith. ”

“Breakfast good. Free parking ideal. Condition of room terrible. No heater. We tried 2 rooms and mattress were terrible in both. Shower leaked permanently. Very difficult to have a restful sleep there.”
