“Very relaxed atmosphere and staff always polite and helpful - brilliant location for an overnight stay being actually on the motorway but once at the hotel you wouldn’t know it. ”

“Room was great with amazing views. Friendly and lovely staff.. Great location. Also, high compliments for the food we had there. We thought the main bedding could be better with a bit more blackout curtain/blinds as the ambient lights outside were on for a longer period at night - these are some feedback for the sake of it. “Car park was full in the evening so had to park in a lay-by nearby. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. We were in a top floor room with a very low ceiling that could do with some padding on the corners as it was a safety hazard.”

“Shap Wells was an unexpected gem! The hotel was wonderfully decorated with stained glass and an “old world” feel. The room and hotel was clean and the food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking space was generous and we certainly felt safe! Beautiful place to stay with an interesting history!”

“Location - The hotel is situated in a great location. Very much walking distance to everything central. Room - Very basic, the bed and pillows were not comfortable for me at all, but my partner didn’t mind them. It was clean. However, under the bed could have done to have been hoovered, I only noticed it because I dropped something under there though. Building - Being an old building, everything is very creaky. Our upstairs neighbours must have had ants in their pants because they couldn’t...

“It was our second stay at the Victorian and it won’t be our last. The room we had was very spacious and most definitely ‘dog friendly’. Our bed was comfortable and the breakfast experience was very pleasant with good quality food. Staff were very attentive and helped enhance our stay.”
