"This hotel has real character. The room was lovely and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Without doubt the highlight for us was the dinner, it was one of the best meals I have ever had. "

"Lovely hotel off the beaten track with countryside views from our room and the restaurant. We were in the newer part of the hotel and rooms are really generous in size and added bonus of French doors which you can open unlike a lot of hotels now where fresh air is impossible!!! Staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was really good quality and well cooked and presented. The only problem we had was when we had breakfast where it was obvious it had been busy (there had been a wedding so very busy) and most things had run out but this was quickly rectified by the staff who were again helpful in difficult circumstances. However once we had breakfast it was exceptionally good value lots of choice and worth the price. Overall we had a really nice time and would definitely return when we are in the area. "

"Initial issue with key, but staff were very apologetic and got it sorted quickly. Resturant for the hotel is just over the road, but again, good service and food was spot on. Room was comfy and quiet, just what is needed after a day at work. "

"Hotel was great once you got inside not sure about the surroundings . Had a great view of the river from our bedroom. The pillows were so comfortable. Room a bit hot and couldn’t open the window but apart from that it was great would stay there again"

"A last minute booking. The receptionist greeted us and was very polite. She actually took us to the room which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was really good, i was even allowed to take a plate up to the room for my daughter who did not want to get out of bed. I would definitely stay there again if ever i am in the area."
