“This is a solid stay. April was a good time because the price was lower and was one of the factors in staying at this property. The room was nice, and we like having a refrigerator. As usual, husband was really happy with the waffle maker. If that wasn't there, my husband would be very unhappy! “This is probably one of the nicest hotels in the area. I really enjoyed the fitness center and the room format was great. However cleanliness wasn't up to the standards I would have expected. It wasn't exactly dirty but it also wasnt very clean. The shower could have been cleaned better, the floors had dust, and the sheets had a stain. While i could tell the sheets had been washed I think that at a hotel if there is a stain in any of the linens, towels and sheets included - they should be thrown...

“The hotel was conveniently located close to the highway, and it was surprisingly quiet given that location due to the many semi trucks on that stretch of the road. We did stay on a Sunday night so that may have had something to do with the lack of noise. The breakfast was very adequate. The room was very clean. The only issue was that our shower leaked due to the door track not being securely bolted down which caused the water to run under the door. We did mention this to the front desk...

“Hard to tell as this was my first and last stay here, but I don’t think the staff here like black people, or maybe just us. They were not helpful to us, but I observed their interactions with white guesses and it was different. Could be they don’t see much black people there. Very uncomfortable for my family. Just needed a place to sleep. Next time in that area of Virginia, I’ll definitely stay somewhere else.”
