"My expectations for this resort were extremely high due to the very elevated price point per night, but unfortunately I can't say they meet my expectations. To start off with the arrival to the hotel via catamaran is top notch! Very enjoyable and a unique experience getting to and from the hotel grounds. Once on the property the disappointment begun. My biggest qualm is with the the rooms are pretty standard medium size hotel rooms and the hot tubs are are more like small soaking baths. Food...

"Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart...

"This hotel is wonderful. So cute and homey with a beautiful garden and great beach. The rooms are large and have good air conditioning. The hotel includes a hearty and tasty breakfast at Loretta’s Restaurant and Beach resort and access to their beach. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The beach has nice sand, good swimming area, snorkels and kayaks. The food there is excellent. We did not even go anywhere else during our 5 day stay! "The property itself needed so much more maintenance. The room was definitely not as advertised . The shower head was so bad like the whole floor would get wet. The hot tub was dirty and throughout our whole stay not once did housekeeping went to the room. We had trash for days in the restroom. Mind u this was a 5 day stay so u can imagine how much trash there was . Definitely u get what u pay for but as for me we wont return unfortunately although i loved the area it was in."
