Gardens at Langar Hall. Typical of the Vale of Belvoir villages, Langar is built on a shallow ridge above the floor of the Vale. 54676, on the edge of the village, sits right on the edge of the ridge. The main landscaped gardens to the north drop steeply away from the drive and car-park towards a "ribbon" lake set out in a grid pattern, see the 1:25000 OS map. The stone wall with the pineapple finials is all that remains of an ornamental bridge which once crossed an extension of the lake, now filled in.

The lake is through the trees to the right while to the left is an area of mixed woodland and shrubby planting, well populated by what appears to be Great Angelica (Angelica altropupurea). Hotel was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Really pleasant staff and would recommend the hotel. However wasn’t a fan of 5 WhatsApp messages plus Expedia messages from them think it was a bit too much. Apart from that everything else was great
