"We stayed in the Malmaison for the evening after a night out in Manchester, and it was absolutely lovely!
The hotel decor was so funky, with quirky designs on the walls, and artwork that was perfectly in tune with the local area and pop culture.
Breakfast was perfect. We both had the smoked salmon and poached eggs, and it was absolutely to die for! We don’t usually pay for hotel breakfast, but decided to treat ourselves, and I’m so glad we did - it really was a special treat.
The little finishing touches really made a difference. Nespresso coffee, delicious little biscuits, and chocolates. The toiletries smelt divine!
I know some other people have complained about the size of the rooms. We booked a king sized room, which wasn’t massive, but adequately sized for two people and everything that was in it. I don’t know what people expect, but I honestly thought it was fine. The chaise lounge was a fun addition!
Just one mark off for cleanliness, the hotel was generally immaculate, but one thing let it down, and that was that another guest had left their Nando’s rubbish/leftovers by the sofa outside the lift on our floor, and it was there from when we checked in to when we checked out. Not really the hotel’s fault - more the fault of the skanky guest, and obviously not in a spot that hotel staff check frequently. Not really a complaint, but if I was being really picky, that was the only thing we could fault.
Would love to stay again, and highly recommend! "
"Clean, comfortable room with a good shower. Bathroom a bit tatty with cracks in sink and holes in bath where there was once a handle but still clean enough. "
