Hotel is clean, comfortable with convenient to access to public transport. The onsen was very nice... a wonderful way to relax at the end of the day. Staff was pleasant.

Good free japanese food buffet for breakfast! The hotel is literally right next to Matsumoto Station. Good restaurants in neighborhood, easy 10-12 minute walk to Matsumoto Castle. Iroha Grand Hotel
This is an excellent hotel for one or two nights ( the rooms are small) but very clean, with helpful staff and in a very convenient location only 5 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes walk to Matsumoto castle. The room rate was very good and this hotel offers good value.

Richmond Hotel Matsumoto
Perfect hotel for a stay in Matsumoto, parking is next to the hotel, rooms are large by Japanese standards and the cafe on the ground floor has a very varied breakfast for Y1200... you may have to wait a bit to get a table as it's popular.
