“Interesting old pub with good real ale. Evening dinner was very good but I found the full English breakfast a little disappointing. Bacon should be back and not two small rashers of streaky. The sausage was tough to break in to. The rest was okay. The room was spacious and had all the facilities. Would recommend for an overnight stay although you will need satnav to find it.”

“We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms.”

“I stayed there one night for business - i was in room 5, on the first floor, by the access door. The rooms are very noisy: poor soundproofing meant that noise came from the pub downstairs, the rooms on both side (I could hear my neighbours cough as clearly as if they were in my room) and outside (one window was soundproofed but not the french door leading on to the balcony - what is the point?) The room cleaning was ok but the bathroom did smell of mould, and the shower is full of it - please...

“Perfectly good for a short stay if you need to be in this area. Wifi is weak and during our visit there was no food available from the pub.”

“A lovely stay just outside Bath The hotel looks stunning from the outside, especially in the evening when the façade and grounds are beautifully lit up. A real plus is the layout: the guest rooms are situated in a separate building away from the main bar and dining area, which meant our stay was peaceful and free from pub noise. Our room was surprisingly spacious, bright, and well equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable visit. The location worked out brilliantly for us as well....

“Lovely stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Not mentioning names for privacy, a young man on duty on morning service on 12/13 Sep 2026 needs a special mention. So helpful and took personal interest everything during the stay was ok. Property is well furnished and feels homely. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Food is of a very good quality and reasonably priced, especially the breakfast. The area is well served for restaurants and walking tours by the coast. We really enjoyed...
