“For a “stop over” accomodation, it did its job. We landed at 2am and it was close to the airport. I would highly recommend a taxi because of how dark it is plus no safe place to walk alongside the road and it’s uphill so all of that plus baggage - no thanks! The room we got probably wasn’t the most optimal in terms of location - it was very noisy - it backed onto the lobby and meal area and opposite was baggage storage. The room itself was clean, tidy, had aircon that worked and a huge bathroom....

“Great place to stay in town. Center of everything and I’m front of the ferries. Stayed there twice during my time in Papeete. Got the cabin bunk for a solo traveler no complaints communal showers outside that separates men and woman. Easy place for easy travelers. ”

“One night stay. Staff smiling and useful except the restaurant manager who needs to learn about customer service. Property ground could be more manicured, and our room was clean but the shower was leaking. The hotel doesn’t provide airport shuttle but will reserve a taxi for you.”

“Beautiful and unique “hobbit cabins” in far south Tahiti… two warm pools, fish ponds, amazing flowers and foliage, fantastic sunsets, great breakfast. Be aware that the bungalows are open to the elements and there may be a short uphill walk from the parking lot. Nets are provided for the beds and we didn’t have a serious issue with bugs. There are also chickens wandering the grounds, which is fun.”

“The hotel appears to be fairly new. The room smelt of fresh paint, clean and a good size. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchenette area was a good size. The location is approximately 15 minute taxi drive from the airport, which was perfect, especially with an early morning flight. The only disappointment is no onsite restaurant. We had the entire upstairs available to us, but only needed one of the two bedrooms, the bathroom & the use of the kettle & refrigerator. We had all we needed & more! The owner is very nice & she took great care of us while we were there. Highly recommend the TeMana Lodge!”

We were only there for a layover before our cruise so we didn’t really use the amenities other than the fitness room (had all that I needed to get a good full body weight workout done), and the Algortherm Spa (we had a couples massage -well done-and used the steam room there. The resort needs a little bit of a makeover. Honestly, if they just spruced up all the hallways that are brown/off-white with some brighter colors, I think that would do wonders.
