Dayton House Resort, BW Signature Collection

4/10 Poor

"It was my first time at Myrtle beach. Had way higher expectations for the amount of money I paid. Rooms were overpriced for sure. Staff had no clue on how to talk to customers and how to direct them when they need help. Free breakfast with booking has limited options. Pool was great, but you had to go to the front desk and wait in line each time you need a towel and for each time your returning a pool towel otherwise you will be charged 25$ for each towel, which is ridiculous. Will not book again with them."

"Do not stay here. Dirty. Loud. Band every night. Pool dirty. Room dirty. Not cleaned. Cigarettes ashes, food still on surfaces. Only one baggage cart for whole hotel. No one could help us get luggage to or from room. Took us multiple trips on the 14 floor. People before us at counter had holes in the walls, bugs and it was not cleaned like our room. Stay away!"

"We checked in at 1:30 am in the morning from the airport and was told there is no late check-out's on the weekend, so we had to be out by 10:00 am. I was anticipating 11:00 am, but 10:00 am is way early, so we had to hustle everyone with disrupted sleep quickly out. We did not get a chance to enjoy any of the amenities. For the price we paid for a few short hours of sleep was not worth it. The room was fine, although there wasn't a blanket for the Murphy bed, so we had to go back downstairs. Also, we waited 15 minutes for an elevator at the check-out time. One elevator was out of service and the other two were packed with people trying to check out."
