"Overall, this hotel has a great location—very convenient to downtown restaurants, the beach, the lighthouse, and nearby golf links, which made getting around easy and enjoyable. When we first entered the room, there was a noticeable damp, moldy smell. Fortunately, we were upgraded to a room with a fireplace, which helped a lot. We lit a fire and opened the patio door to air things out, and that made the space much more comfortable. The breakfast was quite basic, similar to what you’d expect from a typical motel—nothing special, but sufficient for a quick start to the day. One issue to note: the patio screen door was loose and didn’t close properly, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, a stay with a strong location and some positives, but a few maintenance and comfort issues that could be improved."

"A well maintained older hotel, we enjoyed our brief stay. Our room was comfortable with a fireplace, bed and pillows were comfortable and I liked having a sliding door with small balcony. The breakfast was very basic so we opted to go out for a heartier breakfast, also we needed gluten free options but they did offer hard boiled eggs, bagels and toast, make your own waffles and cereal. Overall I would choose this hotel again."

"Absolutely lovely little cottage and motel room complex located far enough off the beaten path to not be noisy, but still close enough to "town" for the things we wanted to do."

"Horrible oder! Hotel is in a good location, fairly priced, and staff was pleasant, but the room had a horrible smell that felt like a combiation of raw sewage and some kind of a mold. This terrible smell ruined our vacation and even permeated into our cloths and luggage. The health department should absolutely look into this place! Do not book a night here!"

"The inn was a throw back to when I grew up in Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Pebble Beach. The room, though older, had all the amenities my daughter and I needed and appreciated for our trip. The main reason I chose this lodging was for its location. It was perfect. From walking along the beach each morning to having an astounding coffee at the next door coffeehouse, the Lover’s Point Inn exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be frequenting The Lover’s Point Inn in my future trips to the peninsula and I look forward to seeing the friendly and helpful staff again."

"Just sad how bad this place has become. They advertise a tiny dirty plastic leather couch as a queen sofa bed for 2! The “breakfast” is a total joke with tiny muffins from the dollar store. Upcharges galore. The staff is annoying and can’t be bothered. Cannot recommend less. "
