"It was a good location, the rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The music in the lobby was a perfect vibe every time. I couldn't figure out the AC/heat in the room or it was stuck on heat. It wasn't too hot constantly, but it was easier to keep the windows open than to mess with it. The breeze actually made the stay nicer though. It made the room feel very fresh. "

"Location and affordability are the best reason to stay at Embassy - you are in the middle of it all and can walk or ride within minutes of most of the best Downtown has. The location is gritty by some standards but the community around the Embassy pretty much stays to themselves - you are next to some great schools and great local restaurants - the Embassy is very clean, it is an older building and its age shows, but the staff keep things in great order. We had a double room which was very spacious there is no a/c but the window fully opened and let cooler air into the room. The floors and walls are thin - depending who your neighbors are you will hear conversations and know when they are walking around their rooms. The restroom is a great size good amenities and the shower/tub worked well. The room had an iron and board and hair dryer television is DirecTV and familiar to operate. Overall - if you're in town and need a safe comfortable affordable place to be your starting point in the city and your resting place in the evening your won't go wrong with the Embassy. "

"Room was clean but small. Bathroom was cramped and very small. It gets hot in the room pretty quickly and takes a while to cool down, even with the window open. Hotel is very dated, the restaurant is not open and hasn't been since Covid. Staff is not very warm and friendly. This place is definitely not worth the price they are charging. "

"Great location with a bit of history for the movie buffs. Easy walk down to Union Square and transport options all around. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. "

"Far from being wonderful as described when I booked my stay, room very outdated in all sense of the word, furniture or the lack of it, bathroom old, exposed electrical wiring and switches probably done by handyman and not up to codes, the worst stong smell of mildew all this made me cut my stay short by a day, I had book for 02 left after spending one night, reviews should be more honest unless the definition of "wonderful" has changed without me knowing, very disappointed, staff was friendly, and bed was alright. "Shops nearby were helpful. Super close to a big Macy’s that had food options and in walking distance of a Trader Joe’s. The pool was under maintenance while we stayed which we were not informed about before hand. That was disappointing. "
