โThe George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests:
- Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. This did not bother us. The...
โBy sheer chance we ended up at the Three Cups - and it is a delightful family run traditional (as in 500 years old traditional) coaching inn. The food was fantastic, both at dinner time and breakfast. Very personal attention paid to everything. Beautiful gardens, with streams running through. The village is spectacular, with wonderful little shops, as well as the trout streams running right through. โ
โWe couldn't fault the service, nothing was too much trouble. We had supper in the pub and the food was delicious, so much so that we couldn't manage a full breakfast the next day which was a pity. We will certainly be staying at the Montagu Arms again. The location was perfectโ
โThis was our first time to this property. It will absolutely not be our last, beautiful location, amazing views, amd the grounds were spectacular. Then on top of that the stafg was beyond amazing.โ
โGood free parking when registered as a guest. Nice breakfast with a la carte and buffet included. Reception staff very helpful with booking tas. Room a little small compared to some other hotels we have stayed in and dates but McLean and comfortable. Two flights of stairs were a surprise but we did not specify a lower floor โ
โMy stay here was an amazing experience. The restaurant offered service on par with what you would expect from a hotel, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and made a lasting impression. While the cleanliness of the room and the lack of transportation options could be considered minor downsides, the room quality was still reasonable given the price. Since I was already aware of the isolated location, it wasn't an issue for me.โ
โIts comfortable ,clean and everything works :)
There are several dining options too, the pub, the hotel bar and the hotel restaurant, that is if you don't want to walk around the corner to the Whiteley Shopping Centreโ
โGreat nights sleep in room 104. Surprisingly quiet for a ground floor room next to the car park. The fridge in the room is also really handy.
Couldnโt fault it and would definitely recommend/stay again.โ
โThis was our first visit to the New Forest and it was absolutely stunning made all the more enjoyable by the lovely staff at The White Rabbit Hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel is set in a fabulous location within easy reach of the most beautiful settings and the local town. The hotel was spotlessly clean, meals were great and there's ample parking. The only thing I would have done differently was booked a bigger room (booked a basic double) but this was a...
