“Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms but it’s the extra touches like free wellies to use when it’s muddy, free popcorn, drinks and snacks in the corridors, wine hour, free homemade biscuits etc that make it even more special. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved the serene spa space we had almost to ourselves. Staff also couldn’t be more helpful. Will be back in summer to try the outdoor pool ”

“A nice hotel in a rural area. You probably need a car to visit places around. The service was very good and the staff were really helpful. There were few alternatives for breakfast, but the traditional English breakfast was good. The room was quite clean but some dust. ”

“There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”
