“Lovely. We will definitely be back. The food was really special as was the wine and service. We paid for the deluxe king room and the bathroom was really lovely my only slight gripe was the room didn’t feel especially roomy or deluxe however the bathroom did make up for this as it was gorgeous. Not a complaint but I think I wouldn’t pay the extra for the deluxe room when I come back which I definitely will be doing. It’s worth it for the food and service alone as well as the beautiful scenery. ”

Staff were friendly enough and helpful enough but you would expect them to at least ask if you have had a nice stay, or even say goodbye after you’ve checked out and paid the bill. On arrival we were also not given any directions to our room and had to ask. Five star hotels should be doing the basics properly in my opinion. Breakfast staff were brilliant but breakfast was underwhelming, unfortunately - why write on your menu fresh...

“Loved the facilities and room :) we had a great 3 day stay. Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. Other than that we were mostly outdoors and exploring Peak District but coming back to a clean room and relaxing in the hot tub and pool was great. ”
