“Perfect spot in Oban. Steps away frm Oban Distillery and the waterfront. The hotel itself is behind and above a beer garden and whisky bar w over 300 whiskys on their wall to try!! Staff was great and helpful. Beds king size and comfortable.”

“We picked this place because it had excellent ratings. My experience was: Very difficult to unload car on an incredibly tight road. I had a heated row with a local resident who was very aggressive. The parking which was at a public viewing point was up a steep hill about 400 meters away. The bathroom was not cleaned well with unpleasant marks in the toilet, dusty bin lids etc. cobwebs and dirt on window. House was run down and very outdated. Walk into town was about 12 minutes down steep...

“This was our favorite stay of the trip. The hotel decoration is so cool. Room was comfortable. Staff was so nice. The included breakfast was so good. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was also great. All of the staff who helped us were super kind and very attentive. I would love to come back and stay here.”

“Ein wunderschönes B&B mit herrlichem Blick auf das Wasser. Zimmer sind toll und liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nix. Jeden Morgen bekommt man einen Korb aufs Zimmer mit verschiedenen Sachen zum Frühstücken. Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Absolut zu empfehlen!!!”

“A bit old and dingy and cramped, but clean. There was no info sheet in the room so difficult to find the WiFi password. Not very private and quiet as it was more like an Inn with a number of other guests in adjacent rooms that one could hear. The owner met me at the door which was a nice touch. Parking was great. Price for a quick one night stop and early morning start was about right.”

“Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host A big thankyou once again”
