"Overall: You’re getting what you pay (or I guess don’t pay) for. It’s a cheap hotel.
Hotel: Rougher part of the city, but close to some fast food restaurants and a subway entrance so it made getting into Manhattan easy.
Staff: Checking in and out was quick, but I didn’t interact with them outside of that other than once right after checking in.
Room: Smaller than I had expected. It was on the first floor, so I could hear everything from the lobby. The window looked into a creepy back alley, so I left the blinds shut the entire time. Mattress was wrapped in plastic underneath the fitted sheet, and there were just two pillows, a sheet, and a thin fleece blanket with a hole in it on top of the bed. My lamp had no light bulbs, and when I asked the staff, they said they have no extras and no housekeeper.
Bathroom: Basic, basic amenities (hair dryer and towels). No shower soaps. The hand soap in my bathroom was already opened, so I didn’t use it for my entire stay. They had given me fresh towels on my third day and one of them had a hole in it."
