"Met a friend from Vegas, I'm in Missouri, for the weekend ending Aqueduct's last weekend of racing after 132 years. Chose Comfort Inn for our brief stay because of ease in getting back and forth to JFK (included), and they were spot on with their established pick-up / drop times. The front desk also hooked us up with a Rockaway Taxi driver that virtually became our private driver around Howard Beach anytime between 1800 - 0600hrs, for 3 nights! If you make it there, please hit The Rail Bar & Grill. Great place for a few dirty martinis and some Champagne of Beers from a ice cold bottle. No food, so mind the "Bar" reference. They're across the street from the JFK - Howard Beach air train. If you go. please say hi to Luna for me (bartender's pup).
The bathroom at Comfort Inn appeared to be recently renovated, was nice. No complaints about the mattress either, comfortable. I actually liked the pillows, not so overwhelming large or plump like or so many other places.
Continental breakfast was very good and well attended by staff.
All staff were kind, no complaints at all, would book with them again in a heartbeat."
