“Unfortunately, this was one of the least enjoyable hotel stays we’ve had. The room appeared old, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The pillowcases looked worn and stained, the carpet felt dirty, and several of the bed linens were torn. The bathroom was especially disappointing. “We stop here at least once a yr in our travels. This year it was not a great experience. The room smelled of dog pee and carpet was stained in all major walkways. The room was very humid maybe because right next to the pool area. The breakfast was typical except the waffle machine was broke and didn't show time so waffles ended up burnt. We went to restaurant next to property for breakfast.”

“The bed didn't have a comforter, only a thin blanket and a sheet. The bedsheet itself had a stain on it. The mattress feels like its caving in on itself, so you sink into the middle of it. The bathroom ceiling fan was the loudest and most useless thing in the room. Nothing wrong with a 1980 non-modernized hotel room, but it makes it feel old, crusty, and musty in the room. “The outside looks great but once I opened the door to our room we were greeted with the strong horrible smell of cat urine!!!! Had to use half the bottle of dawn air freshener to get the room to a tolerable smell. The tv in the bedroom only had 4 working channels and the tv in the living room had no working remote! Pool was great and will stay for breakfast maybe I’ll add another review if it’s great if not won’t be another review.”

“We found the location excellent, as we were expected to arrive at the Twilight Riverboat two-day excursion the next day at 7:30 am. After the boat tour, we stayed another night, seeing it was after 6 pm and a little late to head back to Wisconsin.”

“Clean room and very big. The blackout curtains did not blackout very well. The beer was 9 $ and we are in Iowa not Chicago. The worst part of my two day stay was the baseball families came on Saturday and took over the hotel. The kids were running around the hotel and playing on the terrace. I had nowhere to go to quietly have a beer. You just go back to your room. Travelers beware of baseball families coming to your hotel. It was like a bad movie and the staff did nothing.”

“Booked 3 rooms for me and my family for a graduation weekend. I’m going to admit, I was skeptical at first but the place was very clean, staff was friendly and I would stay again. The area around there is sketchy, so not my first choice but for the price it was very affordable, clean and an overall nice stay.”

Room is spacious and clean and It offers their own Kitchen, which includes a full-sized refrigerator, a two burner cook top, and even a microwave so comes in handy to use. “Breakfast was in line for this type of property. The business center did not have a printer and the staff on duty did not know how to help me print to a network printer. Suggested i go to Walmart to print something. We were sitting in the lobby reception area chatting before checkout time and a staff member ran the vacuum cleaner right there, even had us move our feet. “The 1st thing you notice when entering to check in is that the place smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess they still allow smoking in the casino. Fortunately, I couldn't smell it in the room. The room had a mini-fridge that I used for leftovers, but there was no place to reheat them. I had to take them to the front desk to have them heat them up for me in the back.
