โCabins were clean & comfortable
Was disappointing to learn that damen point (the beach) has been closed since jan of 2025 - we enjoyed our stay despite being cut off from beach access - but would have chosen a different destination had we known.โ
โIt was very nice:) they have really good ac, and a cute coffee trailer, itโs a pretty but short drive down to Westport, very convenient, the room was great, the bed was very cozy and comfortable:) we had a great stayโ
โThe room I got had vaulted ceiling with wood paneling and exposed beams. It was pretty sick. The vibe of the room was giving very much Pacific Northwest and looked premium without the price.
The only downside is that without a front desk or an actual concierge, I canโt ask about where to go for brunch or dinner, or about the surrounding areaโtrail to the beach, whether or not you can drive on the beach, best locations for photography, et al.
Also, please make sure your coffee makers actually...
โRoom was very clean. Beautiful decor and fun amenities (Jacuzzi tub in room).
Our housekeeper was so nice and went out of her way to bring me ice. โ
โCabinโs were spotless, comfortable and had a well supplied kitchenette. Definitely a great place to stay in Westport. Keyless entry is convenient. I thought they were reasonably priced.โ
โWhile this felt wildly expensive to book, I do fear it was worth it. You really feel like youโre at the end of the world and cannot beat the view.
The accommodations were very clean, the staff very helpful, and it did feel a bit like an adult summer camp (in a good way).
A few notes:
- there is zero cell service and the Wi-Fi only works by the fire pits (not the rooms), however it made for a nice break from reality
- thereโs a coffee / breakfast truck on property, a stocked store next door,...
โThis is a comfortable motel. The rooms are clean and spacious. They feature kitchenettes. The staff is friendly. And they are walking distance to everything!โ
โBefore Salt Hotel and Pub opened or reopened(?) we only thought of Ilwaco as a fishing stop. Now for us itโs a destination! Great food and drinks at the pub, cozy comfy rooms, minutes from Long Beach and Astoria.
