"We stayed at Green State Inn from May 14–17 in a 2 queen bed room while attending basketball tournaments in Atlantic City. Overall, it was decent for a short stay if your expectations are realistic.
Hotel definitely shows some age and wear, but for sleeping, showering, and leaving in the morning, it did the job.
Pros:
Room was clean
Beds were comfortable
No bugs during our stay
Easy check-in
Plenty of parking
Convenient location about 15 minutes from Atlantic City
Not overly noisy despite being near a road and airport
Cons:
The room was non-smoking, but there was still an old cigarette smell when entering. Opening the window helped.
WiFi was terrible — very slow and inconsistent. I used my phone hotspot most of the time instead.
The staff was okay, not particularly welcoming.
The property is worn out in places with paint patches and humidity damage in the bathroom.
The shower head is mounted low, so taller people may need to bend.
Sink pressure is very strong and splashes everywhere if opened fully.
There is a $50 deposit that was not very obvious during booking.
Breakfast is very basic grab-and-go style: cereal, plain bagels, mini muffins, juice, and coffee.
Overall, if you need a place to sleep for a few nights while attending events nearby, it’s fine. Just don’t expect anything fancy."
