“This has been my favourite UK staycation! The hosts were so lovely and kind. The rooms were clean and have everything you need with a few extra touches like dressing gown, heaters/hot water bottle and tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast was soo tasty! The location is perfect and not too far from everything..lovely views of cheviot hills. I have nothing negative to say...it was the perfect stay! Thank you! I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Northumberland!”

“This was a lovely place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and always had time for a chat. The room was spotless and newly refurbished. Comfortable bed. Plenty of tea and coffee etc which with toilet rolls was replenished daily, as we're the towels. The bed was made up daily and the room cleaned. Breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. Plenty of other items too such a yogurt, cereal, toast etc. Great setting and next to local amenities and 25 mins from the coast. ”

“Dinner was delicious and high quality. Attentive and friendly staff. Quality real ale in the bar. Mix of locals and visitors. Spacious accommodations. Character and lovely atmosphere. Very dog friendly and interesting short walk nearby highlighting prehistoric and dark ages history.”

“Parking was safe and secure. Room was very clean. The breakfasts were delicious. I can't say enough about the staff,they were brilliant, really friendly and very helpful .”

“Yes good selection from Bar however some staff need to smile a bit often i feel they are there on sufference. My room was excellent however cold due to heaters on timers. Windows where absolutely filthy. On a positive note, front facing reception staff where excellent particularly Charlotte ”

“Superb location and venue. Delightful pub with top cask ale and the food was sublime. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were highly friendly and attentive. The only negative was the electric shower which was very temperamental and low pressure. A real treat though overall.”
