"I chose this hotel for a cheap, basic one nights stay close to the Gare du Nord. I was completely satisfied, it was about a 10 minute walk from the station. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and basic and perfect for my requirements. Continental Breakfast was included in my room rate and again was no frills but more than adequate. I would stay here again."

"Perfect location after a late night arrival, close to the station. That said, there are some unsavoury characters near the station at night! Very loud and no air con so had to open windows, thus making it louder. Door didn't lock on close, only when I was in. Hotel is dated but was cheap and its Paris so no issues"

"Hotel Daval is excellently priced for the convenience and location. It's a bit cozy, and the elevator is basically for one person at a time. The simple breakfast buffet is worth it, and the location, in a lively neighborhood near transportation and numerous restaurants and eateries, is fantastic."
