Property is beautiful and we tried all the restaurants, presentation and food was exceptional. It’s quiet and a 20 minute cab ride into Cancun if you want to explore further. Our room faced the ocean as most of them are Ocean front. The rooms are well appointed and a large shower that opens up to a plunge pool. It’s a very romantic hotel and we have stayed at many Waldorfs around the world, and we have never been disappointed. I read reviews about how expensive the food was, which I found was reasonable for the quality and for the Waldorf. The beach is walkable and the Ocean is not clear blue waters, but it’s private and the pools at the hotel make up for it. We enjoyed our stay but if you want variety and more stimulation this may not be the place to stay. For us it was about tranquility, sun and just enjoying the luxury experience of the Waldorf.

Beautiful property but huge maintenance issues. It was raining in the restaurant twice because of leak from room upstairs. Price at restaurant are more expensive than the most expensive restaurants in NYC. Impossible to eat out because their is nothing within 30min.

Beautiful lobby. Amazing room. Pool is nice. Not a ton of food options (food was average. Pool menu was very limited) and pretty far away from any food locations outside the hotel. Beach is below average (in my opinion). Every employee was very welcoming and service was great.

First let me start by saying the resort is absolutely gorgeous, secondly, the staff is like none other as the hotel lives up to their reputation. The restaurants were absolutely delicious and we did not have one bad meal. Now that being said, this hotel is not a party hotel and they lacked night entertainment. If you’re looking to party this is not the hotel for you. If you are newly married or looking for a private resort away from everything then this is the place for you. Asides of not having entertainment it was hard to get an Uber as the hotel pushed their taxi services. It cost 65$ one way to leave anywhere. Prebook your Ubers ahead of time. The resort is about 30 min away from downtown Cancun. So, if you’re looking for privacy and fine dining in a beautiful resort with top tier service this is the hotel for you. I would 💯 return. It is a lil pricey as dinners were 300$ but worth it. This hotel lives up to their reputation just know there is no night entertainment and you’re 30 min away from any action.

# Oct 26, 2024 at 11:40 AM The Waldorf Cancun is an absolutely wonderful hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed staying with you all. What was most striking was the staff there, who all made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. Below you will find a list and brief description of the hotel members that stuck out to us most strongly. In terms of complaints, our major complaint was the last two nights of our stay. Another group of guests was put adjacent to us. They had two small children, and the baby cried intensely all night. There was also extremely loud snoring. I don’t know if the walls are just thin, or if it was the fact that the rooms are conjoining, but either way it was unsettling and made it very difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, it really soured the last leg of our stay a bit. We also felt like we were in a bit of a moral quandary. We did not want to move rooms, as we had been in our current room for 4 nights already and were very settled. We also did not want to call and request that they be moved, as they seemed to have plenty on their plate (their baby would not stop crying), so we thought it best to just power through and let you all know in the review. Other minor complaints. The shades in the room did not always work and were a little finicky. I thought that the hydrotherapy should have been included in the room rate on a first come first serve basis. I would have liked to have a fire stick in the room without having to request it, and more food ch
