"Smaller, older hotel which was just the right size for a relaxing break. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Some parts of the property were a little tired but this did not detract from the overall experience. Beach was lovely as was the large pool. Food was varied and of a high standard."
"We had such a wonderful stay at Stella Island. The resort is absolutely stunning and feels like a little piece of paradise.
The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing, and having the beautiful beach so close by made it even more special.
The food was honestly the best - so much choice, everything was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. We were genuinely impressed with the quality of the food throughout our stay.
The staff were amazing - so kind, friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.
Overall, Stella Island is a truly beautiful place with fantastic food, wonderful staff and a gorgeous location. We would definitely love to come back!"
"This home is 5 star and will not disappoint. We had two rooms with hot tub. We also had breakfast buffet daily. We went to the spa twice and highly recommend using spa services. We did not eat dinner in the hotel b/c there are so many good options seaside or in the old town. Overall staff were exceptionally friendly, and the location of the hotel is amazing. It was easy to get sun chairs...and the beach access if very close (short walk 1-2 min). The hotel has many small restaurants nearby, if we want to stay local. The old town is a 30 min walk, but you can either walk on the beach to get there or past numerous restaurants and shops. It's a fun walk. If you want to take taxi, it is easy to get taxi and fee will be 8E. We had such a fun time and will come back next year. Cannot say anything negative about this property."
"Nice hotel, well maintained despite dated rooms. Understand it's all inclusive if you have that option but charging extortionate prices to push people into going all-inclusive (15 EUR for all mixed drinks) is a bit much. Felt like the complimentary bottle of wine was lacklustre and a bit cheap for it was as it was only a half bottle with served with two walnuts and some peanuts. Same with the hotel only leaving a generic Birthday card in the room was really minimal effort that it may as well have not been done. Kind staff though and decent food on-site."
"We had a lovely week at the Abaton. All the staff were really friendly and helpful particularly when on departure I discovered I had left my straighteners in the room. The staff went above and beyond to locate them…which they did.
We did half board which was really handy and the restaurants and food was amazing and in a beautiful setting. The hotel is in a great location and if you don’t fancy the pool there was plenty of beds on the beach. All in all a very restful week and the weather was gorgeous!"
"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel but had few occasions with the dinner staff when they were very rude with us. They would not let us sit in the dining area as they had prepared the table for next morning and we didn’t want to sit outside. Even before we started eating or drinking they would come and ask us how would you pay which made us very uncomfortable. At one occasion the staff came to our room at 10:30 and knocked when clearly there was a Do not disturb sign hung on the door"
