But clearly they are short on staff and on supplies - during breakfast I had to get off my chair to find someone to get me some coffee- since it was not self served. “Room was in good condition. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous and worked as best as they could within a the many flaws of the hotel. Ice machine broken, bar unmanned, room service every other day, ineffective communication between room and front desk (had to use WhatsApp) no tv (had to use your personal streaming like Netflix) and when it wasn’t working, no maintenance available until 11:00 pm that night. “I booked this room at 7:48am on Friday 13th, October 2017 for the same day. Upon arriving at the hotel, the manager states that she cancelled my booking at 7:50am because there were no rooms available. No apology. Rooms were still listed on Expedia as available. I received no official correspondence regarding this cancellation.I was told by the front desk that they can cancel it on their system but I would need to call Expedia to let them know the situation. I am currently awaiting a refund....

“The room was spacious and overlooking the ocean. Friendly staff and the cook prepared deliscious meals. The host was kind enough to offer us a ride to Maracas Bay which is a lively spot along the beach.”
