Water pressure very good for having a shower
I only stayed 1 night but I know the area very well and the guest house is a short walk from most places in town but quiet and peaceful guest house location
Penrith is a beautiful picture postcard town and very handy base for traveling to the Lake District
I will certainly be booking again

“I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. ”
“We had a “new” room that was beautiful with a stunning bathroom. One thing could be better…a full-length mirror for the ladies. Breakfast was top class and dinner was also superb though our server was a bit random and forgot a second glass of wine. But the manager recovered very well by delivering at no cost! Location is good especially for a stop-over close to the M6.”

“Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. Laundromat behind the Black Bull hotel which was very convenient. About 6 pounds to run the washer and one or two for the dryer. There's a tourist...
“Given that they were in the middle of renervations the pub was not open only the room was available but nice and clean once renervations complete will be an ideal place to stay ”
