“This is a small private motel located Lin the countryside approximately 2 miles away from downtown Stratford. It is extremely quiet with a secluded pool that is warm and inviting with a comfortable water temperature. The rooms are reasonably large with all modern amenities, including large, flat screen TVs, refrigerators and Kurtis coffee machines. Though the building dates from an earlier time it has been meticulously maintained and the staff is dedicated to the comfort, quiet and privacy...

“We've stayed here twice, and will again. The first time we had a very small room, but at a recent stay the room was huge. The bathroom was European tiny, and no counter or even sinktop room to put anything. Still, it was clean and just fine. The location is perfect, and the staff is better than perfect—helpful, kind, and knew how to take care of business (including running outside to stop a parking cop from giving us a ticket as we were leaving and loading up).”

“No staff on site. Room code didn't work, number to call only went to voice mail. Managed to get someone on the line to remote open our room door. There was no available restaurant or lounge on site. Screaming kids on our floor. No one at checkout to talk to. Room was very nice, but no service to speak of.”

We have used this property before and the location can not be beaten. My only issue is there was a hold for the full stay amount plus an additional $200 for room charges. Then on check out we were charged the room rate amount. It has now been 7+ days and the fairly large hold is still pending. It is frustrating to have to review and confirm the amount is still not...

“The Mercer hotel is located right downtown. The room was surprisingly spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable too! The restaurant attached to the hotel has a lovely patio with great food and drinks. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Staff was friendly during check-in and check-out, very quick, too. The room was large and clean. Beds were queen sized. There was a microwave and a refrigerator. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was updated. Shampoo and soap, and hair dryer were provided. Location was excellent, on the road out of town, and 5 minutes from downtown. The one improvement I would like to see is a coffee maker in the room.”
