โWe had a meal on the first night which was very good. Guinness pie with mash and an Angus burger. Food was served hot and was very tasty ๐ The room was clean and tidy with a big bathroom. One small issue was a loose toilet seat but it was sorted as soon as I reported it to reception. Overall a good 2 night stay. A cooked breakfast would have made the stay even better but there was a continental breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, yoghurt etc.โ
โWe loved our stay at the Ancient Gatehouse. The room was lovely and looked out over the green in front of the Wells Cathedral. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an excellent Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner before walking around the lovely town of Wells. Americans should know it is not air conditioned, but air conditioning is rare in the UK and Europe. There is a fan and lovely large windows. We will definitely return.โ
โExceptional hosts and breakfast. A true BnB. Good location to walk to laundry and town center. The room was quite comfortable. We would stay here again. Highly recommend. โ

โVery nice large property, excellent bedrooms. Great view from garden overlooking the river. Everything is in the property you need except an ice cube maker, and garden needs a little tidy .โ
โWe had a lovely last minute stay at the wild pheasant hotel. No complaints other than that the rooms are incredibly warm. We brought our own fan as previous reviews stated the same. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. โ
