“This was the middle hotel on our 75 km Shimanami bike ride and we arrived very hot and tired. The room was not ready for us, but the staff happily took our bags so we could enjoy the town while the room was being prepared. “Our stay at Shiomachi Roya in Tomonoura was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I was impressed by the renovations done to turn this old merchant house into an inn. I liked the design and decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
